The Federation of Hellenic Communitities of Zimbabwe, was founded on 9th July, 1934.

It's goals then and now are as follow:-

• The unified appearance of the Hellenic Communities of Zimbabwe.

• The co-ordination of actions of the Hellenic Communities of Zimbabwe fore the delopment of the idea of their love and respect to Greece, the Greek language and the Orthodox Christian Faith, as well as toward Zimbabwe, and in general, the elevation of the Greek name in this country.

• The resolution of internal differences among member Communities, given that a wrriten request is submitted by the Executive Committees or the General Assemblies of the Communities in conflict.

• No intervention of the F.H.C.Z. in the internal problems of member Communities is possible other than that stated above or in their finances except of a reconciliatory and co-ordinating nature.

• The moral and advisory encouragement of each Community toward establishment of own school and Church or the establishment of new Communities.

• The advancement of friendly relations and close collaboration , between member Communities and Hellenism in Zimbabwe on matters of General Hellenic interest.

• In general, the advancement and defence of the Federation and the member Communities and the Hellenism of Zimbabwe on national, material, migratory, religious and educational issues, through the submission of opinions to the Government of Zimbabwe, the Greek Authorities and the Authorities of the Greek Orthodox Church.
